Larry Happel will have some help in the Sports Information department at Central starting in July. Joe Buczek has been named Central’s new assistant sports information director. Buczek was the sportswriter for the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun in Michigan, following Division III Alma College. The Detroit native also was the lead high school sports reporter for 18 schools and produced game stories, features, videos and social media content. Buczek graduated from Central Michigan University and has play-by-play and color commentary experience to boot. Joe Buczek will start at Central on July 14.
