In what has become an expectation over the past several seasons, the Central volleyball team received its 14th straight American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. It’s the 15th time Central has received the honor, and the most consecutive years any Division III institution has achieved the recognition. To receive the award, the team’s cumulative GPA must be at least 3.30 from the previous year. The Dutch had a team GPA of 3.40 from the 2013-14 season, and had four players named to the academic all-Iowa Conference team, which requires at least a 3.5 GPA. Five other Iowa Conference schools were also recipients of the award, including Coe, Dubuque, Luther, Simpson and Wartburg.
