Playing its first South Central Conference event in over 18 years, the Knoxville Volleyball Squad ushered in the new athletic era at Knoxville with a resounding three sets to none win over Centerville last night by scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-11.The Panthers went for the kill shot in the third set sprinting out to a 16-3 lead, using runs of 9-0 and 7-0 Knoxville eventually built a 20-7 lead and cruised from there. Cheyenne Jones led the Panthers with 14 kills while Ashley Hawkshead tallied 12. Meredith Cunningham dealt out 30 assists, Emily Wallace led with 17 digs and Haili Swan came up with three blocks. As a team the Panthers only made six service errors. Knoxville is now 6-5 on the season and 1-0 in the South Central Conference.
