A world champion archer lives right here in Pella.

Bridger Deaton won Gold Medals in the Mixed Team and Men’s Compound Individual at the World Cup Archery Finals in Switzerland this past weekend. The twenty-year-old is a full time professional archer, and started competing as a junior competitor on a national level in 2009. Deaton says it’s a dream come true to travel the globe doing what he loves full-time, and says it’s been fun for him to see different parts of the world and compete against the best archers from country-to-country. We have more with Deaton about his accomplishments and his life as an archer on Let’s Talk Pella Friday.
