Two recreational areas have reopened after a period of construction at Lake Red Rock.

The Marina Cove entrance and portions of the Volksweg Trail are now open for use after both underwent improvements this month. Assistant Operations Manager Josh Conrad tells KNIA/KRLS news that the cold weather has put a halt to some of the patchwork that’s still left over at Volksweg and other areas at the lake, but says they expect no significant closures when repairs resume in the spring. He says that there’s still some minor work left on the Marina Cove access road, but says that it’s ready for full use.
