A Central College graduate has been named to a state law position.

Governor Terry Branstad announced this week that Adam Gregg has been named as Iowa State Public Defender. Branstad says that Gregg has a reputation of working with legislators in both parties, and says he’s a good candidate to help defend those who can’t afford legal representation. Gregg says he’s humbled by the governor’s appointment, and says he is ready to begin work. Gregg, a 2006 Central grad, ran in this past November’s election in the Iowa Attorney General’s Race, but lost to incumbent Tom Miller.
