Construction has been progressing nicely for the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics as they continue with their expansion project.
Hospital CEO Kevin Kincaid says the south entrance to the hospital has been closed off and now heavy equipment will be coming in for sewer work and the installation of geopiers. He says the main building of the expansion project will be built on top of these geopiers.
Kincaid says after the main building is complete and beginning to be occupied, then the old building will be dismantled to make room for the hospital’s new main entrance.
The project is expected to take a total of 18 months to complete.
