All four teams losing their first games of 2015, the Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars’ basketball squads try to rebound at home in Friday night hoops action. The Sabers are at home for a double shot against Diagonal. Both girls’ teams are 2 – 7 on the season and are fairly evenly matched on paper. The Maroons’ boys are at 5 – 3 and have three players that are averaging at least 12 points per game. Melcher-Dallas takes on Iowa Christian Academy tonight. Their girls lost their first six games, but have won their last two over Twin Cedars and Seymour. Melcher’s boys have yet to find a win, and may have a hard time accomplishing that task as the Blazers are winners of six straight. Both Bluegrass Conference doubleheaders are set to begin this evening at 6:00 p.m.
