Melcher-Dallas’ girls’ basketball team came away with a nice dozen point victory over Seymour on Tuesday, 61 – 49. Kaylee Houston had a huge game for her Saints, scoring 17 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, recorded seven steals and had four assists. Megan Roush led in scoring with 21. The Saints’ boys fell, 61 – 38, with Chase Wetterling putting in 24. Twin Cedars had a rough go with Grand View Christian; the girls were blitzed, 60 – 24, and the boys lost 61 – 46. Shyanne Denburger was the bright spot for the Saber girls, scoring 16 of their 24. Melcher-Dallas has Lamoni on Friday and Twin Cedars will host Southeast Warren on Saturday.
