Projections of gas tax funds coming into Marion County could be as much as $823,000.

Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says $617,000 of that additional revenue would go to the secondary roads fund and the rest would go to the Farm to Market fund. He says the money would be used for critical infrastructure projects that will significantly extend how long they’ll last once completed.
Governor Branstad signed the 10-cent gas tax into law last month and it went into effect March 1st.
