Central’s women went three-for-three in finishing in the top five in the events they competed in on Saturday’s finale of the NCAA Division III National Indoor Track and Field meet. Junior Abi Davis placed fourth in the 60-meter dash and fifth in the 200. The Dutch 4 x 400 meter relay team came in with the tenth best qualifying time, but shaved four seconds off their time to cross the line in fourth. Former Knoxville Panther, Jamie Vander Veer, had the last qualifying spot in the mile run, and ended up in sixth place to also earn all-American honors for the Dutch. Eric Larson had to withdraw from the heptathlon due to the same injury that hampered him in 2014. The outdoor season for the Dutch will start up in a couple of weeks when they participate in the Washington – St. Louis Invitational on March 27.
