With the weather the way its been, our area track teams are itching for their first outdoor competition of the season. The Pella High boys’ track and field team must compete first in the Central College indoor meet today to conclude that portion of their schedule. The Central College meet allows the teams in attendance to have unlimited entries in all open events, giving schools a chance to see their depth and some line-up possibilities for the outdoor season. This is key for Coach Brent Van Hauen, as they look to see that depth develop heading towards the conference meet and beyond. Field events take place at 2:00 p.m. today, with the track to start getting busy at 2:30.
