Today marks the first official day of Spring 2015.
But with the recent warm weather, some may be uncovering plants and putting seed into the ground a bit too early. Manager at De Bloemen Hof Garden Center in Pella Jill DeVries reminds residents that spring weather can change frequently, and says to be cautious when planting in the month of March.
“If you have plants that come in, it depends on how cold it gets, but you can lose them because their not ready, they’ll die from the frost and the cold,” DeVries says.
