The Central baseball team had two different games with Gustavus Adolphus yesterday during their Tucson, Arizona swing. The day started with the Dutch snapping a four-game skid by topping the Gusties, 5 – 1 in the opener. Pitcher Andy Carr limited their opponents to one run in six innings on the mound. Adam Lindell helped the Dutch at the plate, with three extra-base hits, including an RBI triple. An eight-run first inning stymied Central in the nightcap, as they dropped the second game of the doubleheader to the Gusties, 10 – 7. Central is now 4 – 5 on the year, and they’ll take on Concordia at 11:00 a.m. before making the trip back to Pella.
