Weather statement
This is Severe Weather Awareness Week and Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson feels this is the proper time to get people’s minds focused on the possible weather threats ahead.

Anderson says citizens should review their action plans so they know what to do in the event of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, or flooding.
Anderson says storm spotter training with the National Weather Service of Des Moines will be held Tuesday night at the Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum beginning at 7pm. The training is open to the public.
