District 14 State Senator Amy Sinclair says new figures revealed by the Revenue Estimating Conference could have an effect on how the state budget will be finalized.
Sinclair say the figures for fiscal year 2015-2016 were $20.9 million lower than the December estimates. That means the Iowa Legislature has only about $180 million in additional revenue to formulate their budget, instead of the $200 million they expected, making creating the state budget much more difficult.
