People can now register for the 8th Annual Pleasantville Firecracker 5K. Proceeds from the event will go to Pleasantville Emergency Services for their 4th of July Fireworks display.
Committee member Carly Cummings says the event started with a group of runners looking to create a 5K in the Pleasantville area. She says they created the race as way to help Pleasantville Emergency Services build a bigger and better fireworks display. Cummings says last year’s event attracted over 200 participants and they’d like to have more this year. Door prizes that have been donated by local businesses will be offered following the 5K.
The Pleasantville Firecracker 5K will be held on Saturday, June 27th. More information about the event is available here.
