The Central Dutch were definitely the “masters” of their home men’s golf tournament which concluded yesterday. No. 10 ranked Central had a slim four-shot advantage over No. 14 St. Thomas, but fired an even par round to triumph by 14 strokes. Jon Prescott won individually, shooting a 141 for the tournament, and beating teammate, Adam Squires, in a friendly one-hole playoff. The varsity top five all placed in the top ten for the two-day event. The Dutch’s march towards another NCAA tournament berth begins this Friday and Saturday as they’ll play the first two rounds of the Iowa Conference tournament at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City.
