The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Tracy man found to be in violation of his probation on a sexual abuse charge because he admitted to having sex with the mother of a minor child he was accused of abusing.
33-year-old Bryce William Puyear was sentenced to five years’ probation and a ten year suspended prison sentence in July 2014 after pleading guilty to a count of 3rd degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony. He was originally charged with six counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse against two different victims. However, all but one count were dismissed.
According to court documents, Puyear admitted during a polygraph test to having sexual relations several times with his girlfriend, whose minor daughter he was accused of abusing, but that case was dismissed.
Puyear is not permitted to having such relations without prior approval from staff and he allegedly lied to his probation officer about the number of times they had relations.
Puyear is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
