Getting some final tune-ups in before the state qualifying meet next Thursday, both PCM and Pleasantville’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams did some good things at the Cardinal Relays in Newton yesterday. The Mustang boys finished fourth overall out of eight teams with 59 points. Skyler Coder won the high jump after clearing the 6’2″ bar, and the 4 x 100 meter relay team came in second. Pleasantville’s boys were seventh with 37 points. Chaz Clark was third in the shot put, and the 4 x 200 meter relay team came across the line first. PCM’s girls finished strong, with many top three performances to finish third overall. The 4 x 200 and 400 meter relay teams took the gold, and the sprint medley relay team set a new season best time and finished second. The Trojan girls were eighth with 17 points. Madyson Thill took third in the 100 meter dash, and the 4 x 100 meter relay team came in fourth. Full results for all schools are listed below.
