The city’s annual tulip removal day is set for next Monday.
Tulips planted in specified street beds and city parks will be available for removal, starting at 7 a.m. City of Pella staff asks that those interested in digging up bulbs use a pitchfork. They say that all stems and leaves need to be removed and that all soil has to stay in the flower bed.
Tulips are available in the following locations: Main Street between Peace and Liberty and between Washington and Sunken Gardens; Washington Street from Open Bible Church to Brinkhoff Park; Franklin Street from the Post Office to West Market Park; and City Parks: Brinkhoff, Central, West Market, Sunken Gardens, South Park, Community Center, Library, City Hall, Lions, and the Klokkenspel.
