Registered nurse Sandy Cupples has been named the 2015 DAISY Award winner by Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.
Cupples received the fourth annual award for her dedication to the nursing profession, patients, and their family members. She will next be recognized at the Mercy Health Network of Central Iowa’s CEO meeting on June 12th.
The DAISY Award was presented to Cupples during the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics annual service awards ceremony.
Twenty-one employees were presented with service awards this year totaling 285 years of service to our patients and the communities we serve.
Employees recognized with 5 years of service were: Nancy Allison, HIM; Crystal Counts, Nursing-Clinic; Susan Danks, Business Office; Darci Fuller, Provider; Cody Reed, Admissions; Rosie Reid, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Sherry Sneller, Administration; and Josh Ten Napel, Imaging.
The employees acknowledged for 10 years of serviced included: Tara Branson, Lab; Dorothy Brown, HIM; Chuck Keuning, Facilities; Tammi Meador, Nutritional Services; and Jocelyn Richards, Human Resources.
Fifteen year services awards were presented to Margaret Beakler, Environmental Services and Karen Jacobs, Nutritional Services.
John Gotta, Facilities, and Karen Lundy, Environmental Services, were recognized for 20 years of service.
Twenty-five years of service awards were presented to Susan Edwards, Admissions, and Ann Fee, Nursing-Pleasantville Clinic.
Cheryl James, Nursing-Med/Surg., was recognized for 30 years of service, and Arleen Ensor, Fiscal Services, was recognized for 45 years of service.
Each employee was honored with a VISA gift card in various amounts.
Kevin Swartzendruber, Environmental Services, was recognized as the 2015 KHC Hero of the Year.
