Convenient Care at Pella Regional Health Center will be permanently closed on June 1st.
With additional regular hours at Pella Medical Clinic during evenings and weekends and the 24/7 Nurseline, CEO Bob Kroese says that Convenient Care has become a duplication in service at Pella Regional.
“With the ever-rising cost of health care, we are consistently working towards meeting our patient’s needs at the appropriate level of care. Convenient Care is a much more costly option for our patients, and is no longer necessary with our expansion in services,” said Bob Kroese, Chief Executive Officer at Pella Regional Health Center. “Our goal is to see patients in the Emergency Department when needed, but our family of medical clinics is a better choice in regards to continuity of care for most patients.”
The Pella Medical Clinic is open Monday through Friday until 7 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to noon. The free Nurseline is available to anyone at anytime. Staff guides patients through their medical questions including general direction on medication, symptom management and more. They will also direct patients to the appropriate level of care for their health concern which may include how to self-treat the condition at home, scheduling a clinic appointment, or visiting an Emergency department. The 24/7 Nurseline can be reached at 641-621-2200.
