Organizations throughout Marion County are showing their respect to our fallen soldiers this Memorial Day weekend.

The Knoxville Optimist Club put up flags around the city Friday afternoon while the Knoxville Lion’s Club has created their annual Avenue of Flags along Hwy 14.
Also, Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy will have their Memorial Day program Sunday at 10am. Deputy Chief of Staff for the Army National Guard Col. Todd Jacobus is the guest speaker at the event with Jackie Duffy singing the National Anthem and “God Bless America” during the program. The event is put on by the Bellefountaine Military Monument Committee.
