Pella High’s Lily Roozeboom stumbled in her two matches at the Class 1A state girls’ tennis meet yesterday. Roozeboom fell to Kate Walker of Red Oak in straight sets, 6 – 0 and 6 – 1, before meeting Emily Jurgensen of Ballard and getting bounced from the tournament in a tough three-set match, losing 6 – 2, 2 – 6, and 0 – 1 (6). One thing makes Coach Josh McCollum happy is that Roozeboom is only a freshman, and looks forward to seeing the progress she can make next year.
