3M in Knoxville is expanding its capacity.

Ken Frommelt, Acting Plant Manager, tells KNIA/KRLS News that the Knoxville site has been selected for a major capital investment project that will result in increased production.
Frommelt adds that details of the expansion are just now being finalized, but it will focus primarily on technology that will allow for increased production of existing product lines.
3M officials say the investment will expand manufacturing capabilities, increase capacity, and position 3M for strong growth in key markets.
