A possible tornado briefly touched down in Marion County and prompted a warning Monday evening.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team went on the air at 5:10 with live coverage from our Pella and Knoxville studios. Seven staff members were reporting live on KNIA/KRLS from both Knoxville and Pella, as well as calling in live reports and receiving information from the National Weather Service and WeatherEye meteorologists.
Emergency crews spotted the track of a possible tornado approximately one mile north of Weller, and there were reports of trees and power lines down in the Columbia area.
