Today is the final day for applications to be filed for the Veteran’s Homestead Property Tax Credit.

Marion County Veterans Affairs Department Head Mike Kuhn says it was signed by Governor Terry Branstad earlier this month to better serve veterans in the state of Iowa.
The credit is available to 100 percent of service-connected disabled veterans, family members receiving Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC), and individual unemployable disabled veterans certified and paid by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the 100 percent level.
Applications should be turned into the Marion County Assessor’s office.
