Congressman Dave Loebsack was in Knoxville Friday visiting with area veterans.

Loebsack was at the VFW John Myers Post to discuss several issues of concern for veterans, including health care. He says there’s a lot of inefficiencies in the VA health care system and Congress has been trying to put more resources to the process, especially regarding turnaround time for claims.

Loebsack says some progress has been made, but more still needs to be done.

This was the fourth consecutive year Loebsack has visited with Knoxville veterans just before the Fourth of July.
