District 14 State Senator Amy Sinclair doesn’t know what points would be raised even in the unlikely event a special session of the Iowa Legislature would convene.
Senate Democrats have called for one to try and override the vetoes of Governor Terry Branstad.
Sinclair did express concern regarding school funding but is more worried that Fiscal Year 17 wasn’t given proper consideration by leadership. She also believes E911 funding and mental health changes will likely have a heavy impact on counties.
Sinclair doesn’t believe there are enough votes to call the legislature back into session.
