The Pella Aquatic Center is hosting a mini-triathlon this summer.

Aquatic Center Manager Mallary Westhoff says the Pella Triathlon Club encouraged the city to bring back this type of race, and staff saw it as a chance to help promote their programs. Participants will swim 300 meters in the outdoor pool, bike a 15K loop around the southeast part of town, and run a 5K. The triathlon can be completed either individually or in teams. The event will take place on Saturday, August 8th from 7 a.m. to noon.

Registration costs $50 for individuals and $95 for a team if signed up by July 31st. Contact Westhoff at 628-1882 to register.
