Jeffrey werner

An Oskaloosa man accused of possessing stolen motorcycles and assaulting an inmate at Marion County Jail has changed his plea.

Jeffrey Wade Werner pled guilty to 1st degree theft, a class C felony, and assault causing bodily injury, a class D felony. According to court records, Werner was in possession of two stolen motorcycles and a trailer from Des Moines and was arrested following an investigation by Pella Police at the end of May. Last month, while in custody at Marion County Jail, Werner fractured the jaw of a fellow inmate. He has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
