Knoxville put three runners in the top five including overall winner Chase Larson to win the boys team title of the Knoxville Early Bird Cross Country Invitational over Norwalk and Fairfield. Larson crossed the finish line in 18:20. He was in third place at the half way mark behind his teammate Cade McNeill. Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports he made up time at the back half of the course and was surprised to be in first place. Knoxville has 32 points to Norwalk’s 42 and Fairfield came in third place with 46. On the girls side, Fairfield ran away from everyone with 18 points to Norwalk’s 54 and Knoxville’s 59. Lucy Olson led the Panthers with a sixth place finish.
