Families First of Pella will hold their annual Book Bash later this month.

Director Jodi Bokhoven says the event ties into their participation in the Early Literacy Mentoring Association (ELMA), because developing core literacy skills in children is key by the time they are eight years old.

“That is the most viable time in their lives, where that information goes to their brains,” she says.

The book bash takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 26th at the Pella Public Library.

The first 100 families with a child up to five years old will receive a free copy of the book, Firehouse. We have more about their upcoming programs on Let’s Talk Pella.
