The Red Rock Area Community Action Program (RRACAP) of Marion County will begin taking applications for the 2015-2016 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) starting November 1st.
RRACAP County Coordinator Nancy Hulgan says the program helps bring relief to families so they won’t lose heat or power during the cold winter months.
Applications for the elderly and disabled are accepted starting October 1st.
The assistance is based on household income, household size, type of fuel, and other factors.
Eligibility for participation is established according to the following federal income guidelines:
