A Knoxville man is facing felony charges after illegally entering another person’s home and assaulting him.
Charges have been filed against 35-year-old Jeremy Lynn Morris for 1st degree burglary, a Class B felony, and willful injury causing serious injury, a Class D felony.
According to court documents, Morris entered a home on Robinson Street sometime in the early morning hours of Aug. 26th. The victim told police Morris woke him up by kicking him in the head several times.
The victim was transported to Knoxville Hospital & Clinic’s Emergency Room to be treated for his injuries, including receiving staples for an open wound to his head.
An arrest warrant was issued for Morris and he was taken into custody Sept. 19th.
