The Knoxville Community School Board met Monday.
They passed policy and student handbook changes, and advanced the $7.5 million dollar school infrastructure bond issue to fund the expansion at West Elementary. Karmin Gardner and Dawn Worthington with the Pella Rolscreen Foundation presented grant awards totaling $40,400 to the school district. The funding will be used for a student garden, classroom furniture for the 3rd grade, and leadership training. For more on the board meeting, tune in to Let’s Talk Knoxville.
