A driver from a prominent racing family and a Knoxville Raceway official who has been telling drivers when they can get on the gas each night are among eight individuals in the 27th induction class of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Doug Clark, who has been flagging races at Knoxville for over 30 years, along with driver Dale Blaney will join Frankie Kerr, Gus Linder, Roy “Bud” Grimm, Jr., Shirley Kear Valentine, Gene Crucean, and Mark Light on Saturday June fourth for induction ceremonies. Blaney is still active in sprint car racing winning the All-Star Circuit of Champions title last season and qualifying for his tenth Knoxville Nationals A-Main this past year finishing 18th.
