Knoxville Fire and Rescue and the Knoxville Police Department responded to a hit and run accident with injuries Monday night just after 10pm at the corner of Roche St. and West Rock Island.

A Knoxville woman on a bicycle was struck by a large green SUV that drove away after the collision. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says the woman was well enough to cycle home. The investigation is ongoing.
