A special event to remember a Pella resident will be held next week to benefit programs at Hospice of Pella.

The Mary Brillhart Memorial Concert is Monday at 7 pm at First Reformed Church. It features deo-pianists Laura Ward and Jeffrey Brillhart, along with local Pella performers.

Jeffery is Mary’s son, and tells KNIA/KRLS News she spent her last days at the Comfort House. He hopes the concert will raise funds and awareness for their programs.

Brillhart, a music professor at Yale University, will share a wide range of styles and genres he’s learned over the years.
