HOBBS,JACK DAVID 001

The Pella Police Department concluded a criminal investigation with the issuance of three arrest warrants charging a Des Moines man with theft and forgery.

The department says the charges against 56 year old Jack David Hobbs stemmed from two separate incidents where he’s accused of writing and passing stolen, fraudulent and forged checks to a Pella business.

Investigators determined there was a connection to similar incidents occurring in surrounding jurisdictions. Hobbs was identified as the perpetrator with assistance of the Federal Probation and Parole and US Marshals/Homeland Security Investigations.

Hobbs was arrested earlier this week and is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a bond of $10,000 cash or surety. He faces one count of Forgery, a Class D felony, 4th degree theft and 5th degree theft.
