Terri Frank of Pella was injured when a deer and her vehicle collided on Tuesday night around 7:30pm east of Knoxville.

During the collision the deer broke through the windshield of the car and struck Frank. Family tell KNIA/KRLS News that she was taken to the Mercy Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Des Moines with slight brain bleeding and other injuries. Frank is in stable condition and is expected to be moved from the ICU soon. Frank’s granddaughter was also in the car, but suffered only minor injuries.
