Habitat for Humanity of Marion County held their Annual Home Sweet Home event at the Pella Opera House this past weekend.

Resource Development Director Darrell Sarmento says the highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2015 Volunteer Awards, which will now be an annual event for Habitat.

The fundraiser also included a catered dinner by Central College, a silent auction, and with comedy magician Jonathan May.

Habitat currently has two homes under construction and announced they will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary in 2017.

There are many individual and group volunteer opportunities this spring and summer, and more details can be found at HFHMCI.org.
