The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad won a close triangular outdueling Carlisle and Clarke yesterday. The Panthers shot a 215 while the Wildcats carded a 222 and Clarke wound up with a 241. Lizzy Sullivan was runner-up with a 49 and Emma Welker shot a career best 56. Coach Matt Heston told KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls showed a lot of improvement not just in this meet…but overall in the first few weeks of the season. The Panthers will get some time in the practice greens to refine their game as the next meet is next Thursday at North Mahaska.
