The PCM Girls Soccer Team opened their season with a heartbreaking loss to Des Moines Hoover last night 2-0.
The Lady Mustangs were solid defensively, with a goal being scored in each half both in odd conditions. PCM Head Coach Bill Sowder tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that both shots were deflected off the top crossbar of the goal and then ricocheted in for a score. Sowder went on to say that it was the best game this team has played during his tenure, and his team outplayed, outshot, passed more than he has ever seen but just could not catch a break and put the ball in the back of the net. The Lady Mustangs are now 0-1, and play Thursday at home against CMB.
