The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special session last week to consider action on the Pershing-Attica Sewer project.
An engineer presented the board with maps of the proposed project area which show the results of a survey of homeowners in the area. The survey attempted to determine how many homes would participate in the project. The number of households determines the amount of rural development funds that can be requested from the USDA. Supervisor Mark Raymie says the board will invite residents along Highway 5 and the English Creek housing development to a future session in order to determine whether or not they wish to be included in the project area. The issue was tabled until more information can be gathered.
