Megan McKay owner of Peace Tree Brewing in Knoxville shared some insights into her expansion project in the East Village of Des Moines with KNIA/KRLS News.

The expansion will be an existing building renovated to give it a unique look. A slightly larger taproom and space for experimentation with unique brews are among the goals of the project. McKay hopes to grow awareness of the Peace Tree brand and use the revenue from the high volume customer base to reinvest in the Knoxville brewery. McKay’s goal is to double the size of Peace Tree by the year 2020 and says that this expansion is an integral part of that plan.
