The Pella Police Department is reminding all who plan to pass through Pella in the next seven days to do so with caution.

Thousands of visitors are anticipated before and during the 81st annual Tulip Festival, and Lt. Shane Cox says to be alert for the additional pedestrians and vehicles near downtown.

Numerous road closures along the square will begin Wednesday as staging begins for the annual Klompen Classic and in preparation for Thursday’s opening festivities.

Cox reminds those coming from out-of-town to park in designated areas and to take advantage of shuttle opportunities.
