Playing in their first 18-hole tournament, the Knoxville Girls Golf Squad will join Pella, P-C-M and other area and regional teams at the Oskaloosa Invitational today. The Panthers held their own against two of the area’s best teams in Pella and Pleasantville on Monday coming in third in a triangular. Coach Matt Heston tells KNIA/KRLS his plan for the week heading into their first 18 hole meet was to simply play more golf to get used to the longer round. Heston says an 18-hole meet is good for the girls at this time of the year since it will give him an idea of how they might do later in the season when they play in the conference and regional meets.
