A Des Moines man faces a felony sexual abuse charge in Pella.

In February, the Pella Police Department concluded a six-week sex abuse investigation with a request that an arrest warrant be issued for Thrace Young-McDade. Investigators say an incident occurred in late 2015 in Pella that involved a sex act between a 14-year-old female juvenile and the 22-year-old Young-McDade.

After numerous attempts to locate Young-McDade, and with the assistance of multiple Des Moines area law enforcement agencies, he was located earlier today and arrested in the Des Moines area on the warrant.

He’s been charged with one count of sexual abuse in the 3rd degree, a class C felony. Bond was set at $100,000 at Marion County Jail.
